Meydenbauer Center Completes $12.5 Million Renovation

Bellevue convention center responds to growing convention and large event need in the region, offering rich and dynamic visitor experience

Bellevue, WA – March 4, 2016

Meydenbauer Center (www.meydenbauer.com), originally built in 1993 as the second largest convention facility in the Greater Seattle area, has completed substantial renovations to its interior and exterior. Transforming the Center Hall Lobby and the fourth floor meeting rooms, and refreshing the facility’s exterior have created a more inviting, tech-forward space that matches the innovation and sophistication Bellevue is known for. The overall feel of the refreshed Meydenbauer Center with its abundance of natural wood, warm color palette, artistic lighting and comfortable seating areas provides a welcoming atmosphere that unlocks the value of person-to-person connections and helps professionals thrive.

As part of the renovation, Meydenbauer Center has also modernized its logo; ensuring its total look reflects the modern and tech-influence in the community it serves. A streamlined version of its original logo, the new brand features modern lines, colors and a welcoming feel.

“Since Meydenbauer opened 23 years ago, Bellevue has developed into a vibrant urban city that is home to several major corporations and ambitious start-ups,” said Stacy Graven, executive director of Meydenbauer Center. “Bellevue has attracted a number of top hotel properties that serve the corporate guest as well as leisure travelers seeking a safe, clean, modern and upscale experience. Meydenbauer Center’s recent renovation elevates the convention center’s interior and provides a new level of finishes and technology that is consistent with our hotel partners.”
