Meydenbauer Center provides 24-hour security staff for general building security. Their responsibility includes periodic patrol of the interior and exterior of the facility, response to requests for assistance, door lock and unlock as necessary, and emergency response. Some events may be required to provide approved security staff and/or law enforcement personnel depending on event size and/or event activity. Some factors that will determine whether Event Security and/or off-duty Police may be required include: Meydenbauer Center is an exclusive provider of some event security positions that are required. Other security positions required may be filled by event provided personnel (refer to your license agreement addendum for details of event security requirements). Your Guest Services Manager can provide a list of local security contractors. If law enforcement personnel are required for event security, only City of Bellevue Police Officers may be hired (Washington State Patrol Troopers may be scheduled if city police are unavailable). The only personnel authorized to provide armed security services at Meydenbauer Center are City of Bellevue Police Officers. Arrangements and scheduling for armed event security personnel must be made through your Guest Services Manager. If the event provides some or all personnel for required security positions, all event provided staff would be required to show a current and valid State of Washington Security license. Meydenbauer Center can provide professional and experienced personnel for most of your event needs. They are knowledgeable about the facility and the surrounding area, familiar with our facility’s policies and procedures, and experienced in enforcing event rules and regulations. Some of the areas where Meydenbauer Center Event Security may be of assistance include: Crowd control before, during, and after event hours Exhibit or event area security patrol Registration or ticket sales area security After-hours exhibit and event area security V.I.P. or cash security and escort Pre-opening exhibitor and vendor check-in Badge Check/Ticket Taker Multiple event guest screening Attendee and bag screening Usher I.D. Check Hand Stamp (ultraviolet / black light available) Door Guard/Fire Watch Coat/Parcel Check All Meydenbauer Center provided security and police personnel have a minimum shift requirement of four hours. If you are interested in any of the services that Meydenbauer Center Security can provide, please contact your Guest Services Manager. There are no up-front deposits required when ordering security staff. All security charges will be applied to the final invoice. See Rate Sheet for applicable charges. |

| Firearms – Armed Security |

Firearms are prohibited inside the facility except when carried by off-duty City of Bellevue Officers or Washington State Patrol, commissioned law enforcement personnel or displayed in conjunction with a contracted event. Any firearms that are displayed as part of an event or tradeshow must remain unloaded at all times. The only personnel authorized to provide armed event security services at Meydenbauer Center are City of Bellevue Police Officers. Washington State Patrol Troopers may be scheduled if city police are unavailable. Arrangements and scheduling for armed event security personnel must be made through the facility Security Manager, or contact your Guest Services Manager. |
