Art at Meydenbauer: “Somewhere I’ve never been before”

Meydenbauer Center is proud to announce the launch of a curated exhibition, designed and led by curator Tamar Alsberg, that will bring dynamic contemporary art to one of Bellevue’s most visible cultural venues. The exhibition, “Somewhere I’ve never been before” features five pieces from Kevin Cosley, whose paintings explore the invisible structures and sensory currents that shape the world around us. The show highlights Cosley’s ability to transform hidden forces into vibrant, ineffable forms on canvas—bridging the abstract and the tangible, the familiar and the unnameable.
“This project is about opening a new cultural window in Bellevue,” says Tamar Alsberg. “By creating an exhibition program at Meydenbauer Center, we’re making art accessible in a space where people gather, connect, and experience community.” Meydenbauer Center is working to establish a platform to showcase local artists while positioning Bellevue as a hub for cultural activity on the Eastside. The facility welcomes over 170,000 guests annually with guests hailing from all over the world and the Puget Sound region.
“We are thrilled to have Kevin’s work on display on our building for the next several months so that both the local community members and travelling convention delegates will have the opportunity to experience his work. The movement and emotion in his pieces ties so beautiful with the diverse arts and community events we host in our space,” said Sara Waltemire, Meydenbauer Center’s Chief Operating Officer.
The exhibition is viewable in the Meydenbauer Center public spaces between 8am – 6pm Monday to Friday from October 1, 2025 – January 27, 2026 unless the facility is closed for a confidential event. You can check availability by contacting Meydenbauer Center at 425-637-1020.
