| Sunday, September 20, 2026 | Vendor Marketplace 2:00–9:00 PM | Doors 6:00 PM, Runway 7:00 PM Threads of Renewal is a modest fashion runway show and marketplace presented by Barakah Beauty Collective, a women-led nonprofit collective workspace and cultural hub in North Seattle. Five emerging designers from Muslim, immigrant, and refugee communities present original collections built from reclaimed, deadstock, and overstock fabric, drawing on textile traditions carried from across the Muslim world. The vendor marketplace in the adjoining hall features women-owned small businesses and is free and open to the public, no ticket required. |

| The 12th “Moon Festival Melody” Concert Series will be held on September 27 at Meydenbauer Theater. This year’s theme, In the Footsteps of Music: From East to West, From Classical to Modern, invites audiences on a musical journey across cultures, eras, and styles. The program travels from traditional Chinese music to works from Western classical and modern repertoire. Highlights include Moon Reflected on Second Spring (Erquan Yingyue), Tan Dun’s music from Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Piazzolla’s The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires, and Tchaikovsky’s Variations on a Rococo Theme. The concert features cellist Kai Chen, founder and artistic director of the “Moon Festival Melody” Concert Series, former principal cellist and Chinese National First-Class Performer. He is joined by pianist Andrew Yang, percussionist Chan Tang, and MC Ling Lu, with Yuchi Chou conducting the Seattle Festival Orchestra. Founded in 2015, “Moon Festival Melody” celebrates the Mid-Autumn Festival through music while creating a bridge between Eastern and Western cultures. Now in its twelfth year, the series continues to bring artists, audiences, and musical traditions together through a program that spans East and West, classical and modern. |
